The 686 model manufactured by Smith and Wesson has gone through a lot of variations and modifications. With the 686 Plus included in the Pro Series, users now have a .357 Magnum caliber pistol that operates on single/double action. As with all current Smith and Wesson revolvers, the 686 Plus has a key lock integral to the frame of the gun. It also features combat trigger and hammer types, and comes with interchangeable and adjustable front and rear sights respectively.
